Finances are tight here, too, and my hubby and I have going through our house trying to find things to sell. We are having a garage sale this weekend. It's getting to the point where we are even trying to decide if we can live without some of our furniture just to make a little cash!!

Good luck with your Ebay items. Our teenage daughters used to be into that American Girl stuff, too. Our oldest couldn't care less about saving any of it, but our youngest doesn't want to part with any of it, even though she hasn't used it in a few years. But then she never wants to part with ANYTHING!!!

My 7 Y.O. daughter is just blossoming into her own American Girl era. I knew nothing of it until a Bitty Baby came to live at our house last Christmas. Then I became aware of the corresponding literature: the historical novels as well as the "Care and Keeping" books. I've never been big on dolls, but I am a big believer in everything this brand stands for.

It must be bittersweet to see this era ending in your own daughters' lives, but amazing to realize they have grown and taken what they needed from their dolls, and are emerging into their own new era of becoming young ladies.

Yep, that's how we started out...a few things here and there...then it was a few more things...and now it's going to be a full time job come the fall. Just goes to show...you never know what will happen when your lives are in the hands of Father God!!!

Blessings on the sales for your girls (and you should you so choose) and abundant blessings on you finances!
