My Family
Married to Don since 1989. He’s the one that I love. We met when he was a police officer at the same police department that I worked dispatch for. I thought he was an old guy…..but he’s actually 10 days younger than me. Yes, for real! He’s been bald since he was around 20 years old. After we married is when he told me he was called as a youth to serve in ministry. We left family behind and headed for seminary with three babies in tow. That was in 1996. Here we are in 2009 living in Indiana and loving it. We’re not serving in a full-time ministry position. But love doing interim pastoral positions while working in the computer industry. It’s been a long and winding road for our family. We have so much to be thankful for. We continue to be amazed at how God cares for us. At this point in our lives…..we wait. We wait for the next big move that God would have us make.
Mom to three major cool teenagers. I’m not even kiddin!
Gavin-he’s our oldest! He turned 19 on June 1st and graduated from high school on June 6th. He was number 21 out of 340 in his graduating class. Not bad for a kid that never studied, huh? He’s a sophomore at IU and studying pre-med. It’s an exciting time in his life. We are so proud of him! He’s been a precious kid to raise. He is a young man of integrity and character.

Ally/Allyanne/Alexandria-she turned 16 on St. Patrick’s Day 09 and got her license the same day. It’s been a very exciting year for her. She’s learned so much about friendship and loyalty to the one’s you love. She was selected as a member of the Touch of Class singing group. She stays busy with Student Council and whatever school drama/musical happens to be going on. It’s her junior year and she’s looking ahead to what her future holds.

Gates-she’s 15 and a freshman in high school. It doesnt feel real! She’s the baby afterall. She’s hardworking, helpful, loving and caring. There are so many ways to describe her. She brightens my day by just being herself. She is so funny and beautiful. I’m glad she’s mine and I love having her at my school. We eat lunch together everyday.

These are the people I get out of bed for everyday. I love them. I cherish them. I pray for them. I want God’s best for each of them. I pray He uses me to influence their lives in a positive way. I am blessed! That’s all I can say. If I had to pick a family……this is the one I’d pick for me. They rock!
